Q. Why does TranStats have missing Service Classes in Schedules T-1 and T-2?
Service classes K, V, and Z were removed from Schedules T-1 and T-2 in the Air Carrier Summary Data because they were duplicates of other services classes. This duplication was causing confusion and misuse of the data.
The Z class in T-2 was restored because the fuel consumption data was linked to that class.
Since there was no similar situation with T-1, those classes were omitted.
You can add the remaining service classes to get the totals:
K = F+G, V = L+N+P+R, and Z = K+V
NTL Reference Librarians provide services for the transportation community and general public. Specific services are:
- Basic research assistance with Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) publications and data products
- Assistance with access to information resources in ROSA P
- Referrals to operating administrations within US DOT
