Q. Statistics on Take-offs and Landings by Airport

Answer

The BTS airline traffic databases include only data filed by certificated air carriers and commuter carriers: Answer Link

General aviation and air taxi traffic is not included.  You can find total takeoffs and landings (of all types) by airport in the FAA's Air Traffic Activity Data System (ATADS).

Go to http://www.apo.data.faa.gov/main/atads.asp and click "Airport Operations."

Go through each step (facilities, dates, filters, etc.) in turn and then "run."  The data will be broken down by "local" and "itinerant."  The former is for flights that take off and land within 20 miles, the latter is flights coming in from other areas and leaving again. You can find more information about the system by viewing the OPSNET Manual.

For further assistance with ATADS, contact the FAA directly at http://aspm.faa.gov/ContactUs.asp
